The Pro-Chancellor & Chairman, Governing Council, Abia State University, His Excellency Senator Adolphus N. Wabara, Ph.D has been unanimously elected into the prestigious Board of Pro-Chancellors of State Universities in Nigeria.

In electing the Distinguished Senator and former Senate President, Federal Republic of Nigeria and Secretary, Board of Trustees, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the Board, members eulogised his enviable pedigree and track record of achievements and described him as a bridge builder, de-tribalised Nigerian, celebral academic, diplomat and astute administrator, tested and trusted.
